I was under the impression that MC 1 is now open source? Mech Commander 2 Free From Microsoft ? It'd be a bit of a legal mess to secure the rights for a re-release.

Microsoft doesn't even have the license any more. I know No Guts No Galaxy has a whole section of their forum for the game included large Far created campaigns that are completely new. Mech Commander 1 and 2 and Mech Commander Gold can be found free in many places on the internet. Microsoft has bigger fish to fry these days. Does anyone know why they are not offered on Steam?
